The Jimmy Simpson Foundation is a non profit, fundraising corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life for the non-ambulatory and total care individual as well as the care of the elderly by providing support and direct services.

To be able to provide the support and services the total care individual needs as well as the elderly, the Jimmy Simpson foundation will establish the implement the following programs.

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation was created out of a need for total care facilities that specialize in one on one care fore the client. This need was realized when Jimmy Simpson became brain injured in 1994 and the family searched for a facility which would meet his needs.

SAFEHAVEN

The Safehaven program is designed for the non ambulatory total care individual. The facility is a residential home on which twenty-four hour care is provided.

DAYHAVEN

The Dayhaven program, currently under construction, is created to provide a safe environment for anyone who needs daily supervision but not twenty four hour care.

EDUCATION

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation will develop and maintain a database of information regarding other facilities which care for the non-ambulatory and total care and Senior Adults Daycare programs which the foundation feels confident to recommend.

Also within the scope of the education program will be the gather information on the latest research projects regarding the elderly and total care individuals. This information will be passed on via the quarterly newsletter.

Mailing will be done periodically updating the individuals regarding new information in the filed they requested.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Support groups will be formed for those families who have non-ambulatory and total care individuals in Safehaven or another facility as well as for those families who have snior adult in an adult daycare program.

There will be no charge for the educational or support programs of the foundation.

FUNDING FOR FAMILIES

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation charges a fee for the programs described, however, if a family can show a financial need the foundation will make every effort to work with the family to help meet the needs financially.

There is an application process is which the information submitted is brought before the Board of Directors for a final decision.
